I am a Canadian female. Most of the time, I enjoy being one. The following is me in a nutshell:
I am (mostly) straight, and experimental. I live for music; I'm well versed in everything from baroque to 80s glam metal. I'm smart, and not ashamed of it. However, I have a good sense of humor and will not bite unless provoked. I like ideas and people who carry them. My weaknesses include chocolate, rock bands, and pretty men with long hair who most often end up being twice my age. ;P I can usually be found wearing faded band shirts, jeans, leather, vinyl, or anything black; will not leave the house without eyeliner. I would have enjoyed life as a groupie in the 70s. I am probably younger than you think.
Complex music, passionate music, aggressive music, and good old trashy rock n’ roll. Rush, Geddy Lee, Cheap Trick, Skid Row, Sebastian Bach, Type O Negative, AFI, Alice Cooper, Scorpions, Marilyn Manson, AC/DC, the Pixies, R.E.M., Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Pink Floyd, Velvet Revolver, Guns n’ Roses, the Distillers, Hole, Nirvana, Rammstein, Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, the Ramones, Joey Ramone, the Cruxshadows, Hanoi Rocks, Tom Petty, The Doors, etc.
My favorite movies include Nightmare Before Christmas, The Crow, Underworld, Interview with the Vampire, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, the Harry Potter films, Almost Famous, and This is Spinal Tap. Anything with Jason Isaacs in it. [Or Uma Thurman, Bill Nighy, Steve Valentine, etc.] About the only TV shows I watch religiously are Alias, the X-Files, Crossing Jordan, the Simpsons, Futurama, and Doctor Who. Especially that last one.
I read the likes of Ayn Rand, Anne Rice, Stephen King, Fredrich Nietzsche, Aleksandr Pushkin, Nikolai Gogol, J.K. Rowling and Lemony Snicket. So vampires, horror, philosophy, or twisted children’s literature is good with me. ;)
Other things I love include Gothic fashion, vinyl, eyeliner, unusual colors of eye shadow, Russia, Marius De Romanus, Armand, Lestat De Lioncourt, Pandora, Gibson Flying V guitars, long hair on men, and [other] unashamed freaks. *waves to fellow freaks*
Stupid people, fundamentalists, narrow-minded fanatics, brainless sycophants, hypocrites, emo and nu-metal bands, religion, children, most animals, censorship, early mornings, authoritarian brainwashing, prudes, homophobia, Ashlee & Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton, Val Kilmer movies, repression, conformity, my school, arrogant jackasses who really have nothing to be arrogant about, and a whole crapload of other things I can’t think of right now. Haha.
